What do you do if you feel your doctor is not treating you fairly or appropriately for your condition or just because you are on medicare? Or if you think fraud is being commited by your provider is there a way to report your doctor?

I've honestly never heard of a doctor treating someone badly for having Medicare. I do know of some that take Medicaid that should be losing their licenses, but that's another story. I think the best thing to do if you are unhappy with your doctor is to find a new one that you can trust and be comfortable with.

You might try checking with the local branch of the AMA to see if others have complained about the doctor. If they have, you might be able to get some action taken against the doctor.

This might not help your experience with the doctor, but it will stop the doctor's being able to treat Medicare patients differently than those covered by private insurance.

I opened this and was planning on responding that you should find a new doctor but your title was misleading. You are not concerned with the doctor being qualified but if they are biased against you based on your insurance. That's a horse of an entirely different color. If there is anything concrete that you can show evidence of this bias, you should be able to report the doctor to someone. If it's just a vague feeling, there probably isn't anything that you can do except find a doctor that you like better.
