Medicare only covers bone mass measurement for these groups of people:
Those suffering from estrogen-deficiency and are more prone to osteoporosis
Those that have vertebral abnormalities
Those that are expected to receive glucocorticoid therapy
Those that have primary hyperparathyroidism,
Those undergoing treatment with a new osteoporosis drug.
