My daughter has been diagnosed with juvenile diabetes...are medications and syringes covered under insurance for adolescents?

Most insurances do cover these supplies but you would have to talk to your insurance company. I am assuming that your daughter does not actually qualify for medicare as she's obviously not over 65 and I don't believe diabetes qualifies as a disability yet.

No, I don't think that they actually consider it a disability but it is a very expensive condition to keep up with for some. A friend of mine has had diabetes since he was 4 and he has to use the insulin pump and shots once and a while and it is not cheap.

The medicare policy is applicable to beneficiaries, irrespective of Type 1 diabetes or type 2 diabetes and insulin usage. With the Medicare medical insurance, most of the time you are needed to pay only 20 % of the total cost incurred on your diabetic and testing supply.
